Context
Two posters, four years apart, for films directed by Obada Al Jorbi: Women of Steel (2020) and Breshna (2024). Both carry the Bophana Audiovisual and Doha Film Institute marks; Women of Steel also carries the Royal Film Commission Jordan mark.
Breshna (2024)
The poster’s single photographic plate is a black-and-white still from the film: a figure on a staircase, lit by a diagonal beam. The title is set in Latin capitals and in Arabic, with a dot between them, and the tagline “When all is lost, hope quietly remains” runs beneath it. The Bophana and Doha Film Institute marks sit above the credit block, which lists Abdullah Abbas as graphic designer.
Women of Steel (2020)
The poster’s single photographic plate is a close portrait from the film: a woman in profile, in a floral headscarf, her head bowed.
